After a journey from Thailand - Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang, the ship Silver Nova brought 665 international tourists to dock at 7 AM. Ha Long International Passenger Port welcomes tourists with a vibrant and lively music performance
In the ceremony to welcome the Silver Nova ship, for the first time Ha Long International Passenger Port organized a music program to welcome tourists. Amidst the spacious atmosphere of the heritage bay, artists performed vibrant, passionate Flamenco melodies, making the first moments of tourists arriving in the heritage region unforgettable.
Ms. Anna Williams, a tourist from the US, shared: “We have been to many ports around the world, but rarely has any place created such strong emotions from the very first moment as here. The music, the atmosphere, and the friendliness make Ha Long leave a very special impression.”

Red sailboats docking at Ha Long International Passenger Port will be a novel experience for international tourists
Following that vibrant atmosphere, on the afternoons of February 24–25, 2026, the fleet of red sailboats, a new product of Quang Ninh tourism, will dock at Ha Long International Passenger Port. Crafted from the ancient "thuyen ba vat" (three-plank boat) model of the Quang Yen region, the red sails carry an ancient appearance, harmonizing with the rhythm of wind and water, creating an emotionally rich visual effect, depicting memories of the lives of ancient coastal residents, thereby connecting tourists with the deep-rooted local culture of the heritage region.
Not just a transit point, Ha Long International Passenger Port is striving step by step to elevate itself into a space of rich cultural experience.
Mr. Bui Quang Tuan - Deputy General Director of Ha Long International Passenger Port said: “ The integration of music and local cultural products into guest reception activities is an effort to enhance the tourist experience, so that each ship docking is not just a stopover but becomes a memorable starting point for the journey to explore the Ha Long heritage region –”.
Along with Silver Nova docking for the first time, 2026 continues to mark the attraction of Quang Ninh's cruise tourism by welcoming AIDAdiva – an international superyacht visiting the heritage region for the first time. Notably, many large cruise ships will also return to Ha Long multiple times such as Celebrity Solstice , Blue Dream Melody , Piano Land , Seabourn Encore , Westerdam, showing that Ha Long is not just a new destination but is gradually becoming a preferred destination on the itineraries of international cruise lines.
In 2026, Quang Ninh aims to welcome over 22 million visitors, including approximately 5.2 million international visitors; with cruise tourism alone expected to welcome over 150,000 visitors through approximately 88 registered ship calls. To realize this goal, Ha Long International Passenger Port continues to leverage its role as a key infrastructure, where the combination of modern facilities and cultural experiences is contributing to shaping Quang Ninh as a modern, friendly, and culturally rich cruise destination.
